Message from the Superintendent

November 28, 2018

Our entire community has been disrupted during the last three weeks due to the Camp Fire.  Communities have been destroyed and families have been displaced.  The Oroville Union High School District has had both staff and students displaced by this fire.

As school begins on December 3rd, all of us will be working to ensure that school will be a safe and place of normalcy for staff, students and the community.  Our goal is to support the OUHSD community and finish the fall semester on a positive note.

OUHSD is willing to step up and assist students and their families from Paradise that had their education disrupted by recent events.  Enrollment information is available on the ouhsd.org website or by contacting any OUHSD school.

I have been truly impressed with the community response to assist families displaced by the fire.  I am proud to be a member of the Oroville community because I know that we come together during a time of need.

As we work together to make our high schools great places for kids to learn, please do not hesitate to contact me by telephone at (530)-538-2300 x 1107, or by email at cwillenb@ouhsd.net if you have questions, concerns and/or comments that I can assist you with.

Respectfully,

Dr. Corey Willenberg
Superintendent
