Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Lessons

Social emotional learning continues to be an important part of every student's education and schools around the country offer lessons to help students develop the social and emotional skills they need to be more successful in school and as they move on to college and careers. OUHSD is offering a series of social emotional learning sessions over the course of the 2022-2023 school year. Topics are intended to engage students in skills, issues, and discourse related to areas students will encounter in their daily lives, as well as to support students in their transition into adulthood. Topics are NOT intended to sway students toward a particular belief; however, we recognize that some topics may be sensitive. OUHSD will provide parents with the SEL learning materials before each assembly. Click on "LessonTopics" link below to review the materials.  If you or your student have questions or concerns about the upcoming lessons, please review them. If, after reviewing the lessons, you would prefer that your student NOT have access to the information provided, please contact your Principal's office. We will make alternate arrangements for your student during the SEL Assembly period. See below for a list of lesson dates and topics.
