S-EBT Information

We're excited to share important information regarding a new program aimed at assisting families in feeding their children during the upcoming summer break.  Previously known as P-EBT, a federal food program established during the pandemic to aid families with school-aged children in purchasing groceries, is now transitioning to a new permanent program called S-EBT (Summer Electronic Benefit Tracker). Eligible families can now receive $120 for each child from the new S-EBT program to cover grocery expenses. Notably, S-EBT benefits are accessible even if your child will receive free meals at school, camps, or other locations this summer.

It is essential to note that the district's sole involvement in this program is providing student address and attendance data. Ensuring your address in Aeries is accurate by March 28, 2024, is crucial. Address changes should be done via the Aeries Parent Portal https://orovilleunionhsd.aeries.net/.
Please note- Changes may take a couple of days to show in the portal.  If you have any questions regarding address updates, you can contact your school site. If you have not completed the Data Confirmation process (online Data Confirmation / Registration), it is imperative to do so promptly to avoid missing out on this benefit.

For any inquiries or more information, the CDSS (California Department of Social Services) is establishing a customer service hotline and a dedicated S-EBT web page:  https://www.fns.usda.gov/sebt/household

Please be informed that our school offices do not possess additional information about the program or its eligibility requirements.
