Career and Technical Education
Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006 P.L. 109-270
The Oroville Union High School District prides itself on offering quality academic and career and technical education programs to all of our students. The addition and modernization of CTE facilities at Las Plumas High School and Oroville High School have invigorated the District’s CTE Program. Students have the option to participate in programs at both sites. Available programs include Home Economics, culinary arts, automotive technology, agriculture, welding, multi-media design, and computer applications. The district uses labor market information, advice from local advisory boards, Butte County Regional Occupational Program (ROP), stakeholder input and community feedback to determine what programs are offered to students and ways in which to improve those programs and services.
