Receiving Your Scholarship Monies
Scholarships are paid in two payments (unless it is a four year scholarship). One half of the monies of each scholarship will be released to the student upon presentation of the recipient’s college/university fall semester/quarter registration. The other half of the monies will be released upon presentation of the spring semester/winter quarter registration. After confirmation of the registration information, checks will be available the following day after 1:00 p.m.
Each time a student collects an award, they will need to provide:
- A class schedule which shows their name, the name of the school, the number of units and the semester
- Copy of photo ID (driver’s license or college ID)
- Phone number
Documents can be submitted to the District Office after July 1. The District Office is located at 2211 Washington Avenue, Oroville, CA 95966.
Scholarships must be collected by March 18th the year following graduation (unless it is a 4-year scholarship).
f the student is not going to collect the award in person, a written request (e-mail, fax or note) can be sent to the district office stating how the student would like to receive their award. If the award will be picked up by someone else, please include their name in the request as they will be required to show their ID before the check is released.
