    Chico State "High School Scholars Program"
    Chico State "High School Scholars Program" allows current juniors or seniors with a 3.0 GPA to take up to two courses for a nominal fee. Student must attend a mandatory orientation in December. More information is available in the counseling office.  

    Educational Talent Search (ETS)
    Educational Talent Search is a federally funded, national TRiO program that is committed to prepare and motivate low-income, first generation junior high and high school students for success in postsecondary education.  ETS seeks students who have the desire, ability, and motivation to excel in their education.  Joining ETS implies students and their parents are willing to make a commitment to their future.

    Upward Bound
    Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their precollege performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits. Upward Bound is a year-round program geared towards students with academic potential who are interested in pursuing a college education. Please see your counselor or visit the Upward Bound website if you are interested and would like to see if you may qualify from this program. 

    California Community Colleges (CCC)

    CCC has 116 colleges that prepare students for transfer to four-year colleges and universities or offers a career technical degree to prepare students for the workforce. 

    Two types of guaranteed admission to either a CSU or UC are offered:

         Associate Degrees for Transfer (ADT) — sometimes called a Degree with a Guarantee — students who meet the         CSU’s minimum eligibility requirements are guaranteed priority admission to a CSU campus, though not necessarily
         to a particular campus or major.

         Transfer admission guarantee (TAG) — Six UC campuses offer the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program       for California community college students who meet specific requirements.
