For your information:

Microsoft and FireFox both changed their handling of website security certificates to counter problems with a method of attempting to defraud bank customers called phishing.  This is where you receive an email that claims it is from your bank or other financial institution and asks you to click a provided link then fill out personal information to verify who you are.  The reality is that a criminal sent you the email and the website your directed to is under their control.  Your bank will never send you an email asking you to do anything like this.  If you even think an email is actually from your bank call them on the phone at a number from your statement not from an email.

To continue the fake websites will trick you into thinking they are a secure link to your bank by using something called a self issued certificate.  These are a legitimate type of certificate used when a site simply wishes to ensure that the connection between your computer and the website remains secure and your information sent and received is not open to being monitored.  Because there is no central authority over this type of certificate Microsoft and others have chosen to have their browsers default to not trusting self issued certificates.  Instead of simply warning you that the certificate is self issued you get the dire warning that there is a problem with this website's security certificate. [Note this is something you should never see with your bank or other financial institutions' website.]  And it is recommended that you not continue to the site.  What they are not mentioning is that if you know the site your going to there is nothing wrong with continuing on to the website.  It would perhaps be better if they did a more accurate job of identifying self issued certificates but this was the compromise they made to improve security and attempt to protect the end consumers from fraud.
