2) ATTENTION
ALL SOPHOMORES WHO WERE ABSENT FOR THE EXIT EXAMS LAST MONTH:
Next week’s exit exam will take place in the cafeteria. If you have an IEP you will test in Room L-7
of the library. Keep in mind that
passing the exam is a requirement for graduation and all students are required
to take it their first time in their sophomore year. Tuesday you will be taking the
English-Language Arts portion of the test and Wednesday the math portion.
Please remember to bring a photo ID and two number-2 pencils. If you
don't have a photo ID you need to see Donna in the Student Store ASAP. Again,
you MUST have a picture ID to be admitted into the testing room. You will
be testing at 7:45 am, so you need to be on time. You may take a book to read in case you
finish early.
ATTENTION JUNIORS WHO HAVE NOT PASSED
ONE OR BOTH PARTS OF THE EXIT EXAM. Next Tuesday the English portion of the Exit Exam will be administered
and next Wednesday will be the math portion. Juniors will be tested in the
cafeteria. If you are a student with an
IEP, you will be testing in Room T-1 or T-6, ask your teacher for your room
assignment. Please remember to bring

ATTENTION
STUDENTS – The SPCA fundraiser will end TODAY. Any items you can provide which are on the
SPCA wish list will make the dogs, cats, puppies and kittens very happy! Let’s show how much OHS cares.

ATTENTION
STUDENTS – Any student caught forging notes will
automatically be suspended. Students are
not allowed to tamper with school documents of any kind, including, but not
limited to, hall passes, attendance, notes, admit slips, and student progress
reports.

CONGRATULATIONS
SANDY YANG – Sandy Yang was selected to the BVL Girl’s
Soccer All-League Team. Also,
congratulations to Linda Vang, Faith Lemons, and Maly Xiong for earning Honorable
Mention recognition.

CSF –
General membership meeting on Tuesday, March 16 at lunch in room C-3. We will be talking about our college
visitation field trip and Diversity Day.

CONGRATULATIONS
to all that made it to Oroville’s Got Talent. Don’t forget
to attend the OHS Talent Show on April 13th at the State Theatre.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS – Clearance sale on OHS wrestling hooded sweat shirts and t-shirts.
You can buy a set for only $15, while they last. Stop by the Student Store TODAY and get
yours.
10) SOUTHEAST ASIAN STUDENTS - The UC Davis Hmong Student
Union is hosting their 18th Annual High School Conference at UC
Davis on Saturday, April 3rd. The objective of the conference is to
encourage Southeast Asian American students to utilize their cultural and
socioeconomic backgrounds to gain a greater appreciation for the opportunities
around them and to promote higher education. There is a mandatory refundable
deposit of $5 when you sign up to participant in the conference. You can sign
up in the counseling office with your counselor or in room B-2 with Crystal
Thao. Sign up ends March 24th. If you have questions, see your
school counselor or Crystal Thao.
11) EASTER GRAMS – Asian Club members are selling Easter grams through
Friday (March 19th). Grams
are sold at $2.00/each. You can purchase
grams from any Asian Club member or in the quad. Come buy an Easter gram for your friends and
teachers!
12) ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS WHO HAVE BILLS – According to the new rule
you will not be allowed to attend extra curricular activities until those bills
are settled; this includes the Prom. Pay
your bills in the Student Store ASAP.
13) CAP/GOWN/TASSEL ORDERS – If you have not ordered your cap and gown unit then
pick up a flyer in the student store. The only way to order is through
the mail.
14) SENIORS – The Freda Flint Visual Arts Scholarship
application is available in the Counseling Office. One $250 scholarship will be awarded. In order to apply, you must be recommended by
a Visual Arts teacher and have a 2.0 GPA or better. Applications must be postmarked by April 14,
2010.
15) SENIORS – The OHS Athletic Boosters Club announces a $500
scholarship opportunity to one male and one female senior athlete who has
played at least two full seasons of sports at OHS, has a cumulative GPA of
2.75, and plans to attend college in the Fall of
2010. Interested seniors can pick up
information in the Counseling Office.
Applications are due April 15 to the Counseling Office.
16) SENIORS – If you plan on applying for the P.T.S.A.
scholarship, you need to be a current member by March 12th. See Mr. Schmautz for details.
17) FOOTBALL
GAME – Please buy a ticket in the
Student Store for the North State Renegades (semi-pro) Football Game at
Harrison Stadium on Saturday, March 13, at 6:00 p.m. All proceeds go to Oroville and L.P.
Athletics. ALL TICKETS: $5.00.
