During my travels I was offered a postion with a sport marketing firm on the east coast and spent the next 4 years traveling and promoting various sporting events as a National Competition Director. I returned to Chico State to study Kinesiology and received my masters with an emphasis in Instructional Technology. During this time I met Quinn Mendez and we were married in 1999. After a few years teaching and coaching at the junior college level. I was offered a job as a manufacturing and production supervisor where I worked for four years.
