My name is Patti Vitale. I am a Para-educator at Las
Plumas High School. I have worked here for 6 years. I work in the
Special Education department. I work with students with learning
disabilities. I work in a variety of classrooms. I enjoy working with
the students and getting to know them better.
I am happily married. My husband, I would have to
say, is my best friend. We enjoy many hobbies such as back-packing
together. I have 4 children. I have 3 boys and 1 girl. I also have 3
grand children. All boys. They all graduated from Las Plumas High
School. MY oldest son Aaron is a land developer in the bay area. My son
Mark lives in Oroville and is a custodian at Yuba college. His wife,
Andrea is a student t Chico State and will soon be a Special Education
teacher. My son David works for the city of Sacramento. My daughter in
in graduate school at Chico State. She will be a college counselor when
she finishes this year.
I have meet the NCLB requirements by finishing my
degree at Butte college. It was quite interesting to go back to school.
I really enjoyed my classes except for Algebra but I managed to get
through it. It helps me to appreciate what our students go through to
pass CAHSEE. I feel that I am better able to help the students in math
now.
My hobbies are back-packing, bike riding, sewing
and reading. I also love to travel and go new places. Recently I went to
Maui it was beautiful.
