I was born in Loma Linda, California in 1977 to Bob and Kathy Kermen. My father is a retired History teacher who taught at Yreka High School in Yreka, California. My mother is a school librarian at Durham High School in Durham, California. I have two sisters, Tina and Mary. I was married August 13th, 2006 in Yosemite. My wife Sherie teaches US History at Gridley HS in Gridley, Ca. I have lived in Chico, California for 13 years. I came to Chico to go to school and play baseball. I enrolled at Butte College in 1995, and played for the Roadrunners for two years. I then transferred to Chico State University where I continued my education, and also began my baseball coaching career at Butte College. I graduated from CSU Chico in 2000 with a degree in History, and from the CSU Chico Credential Program in 2001 with a Social Science credential. I completed my student teaching at Las Plumas, teaching U.S. History with Mrs. Walker, and World History with Mr. Williams. I was hired at Las Plumas High for the 2002/2003 school year. I currently teach US History in the Social Science Department. My hobbies include baseball, golf, camping, reading, traveling, hiking, and fishing.
