V. Class Description and Advice
" World History is an overview of history from the Enlightenment
to the present. While the United States is highlighted throughout the
units, the emphasis is on other countries and cultures including their
contributions and struggles.
" Students will be asked to watch the news or read the paper to stay
current on global issues. These will be discussed in class.
" Students will be improving English skills. Researching, note-taking,
oral presentation skills and essay writing will be taught and reinforced.
" Homework will be assigned in thematic "packets". Students
will be told of due dates and testing dates in advance. Do not procrastinate
or your grade and comprehension will suffer.
