Mr. Hastings has been teaching Physical Education at Las Plumas High School since 1995.  He teaches 9th grade co-ed and is the head of the Physical Education Department.  Mr. Hastings has also been the Cross Country and Track and Field coach at Las Plumas since 1985.

1998-North Section Cross Country Honor Coach of the Year

2000-North Section Track and Field Coach of the Year

2002-California State Track and Field Coach of the Year

2002-Carried the Olympic Torch in Martinez, CA for the 2002 Winter Olympics

2003-Nominated for the California Interscholastic Model coach of the Year

Mr. Hastings is also a member of CAHPERD, the California State Physical Education professional organization

Married to wife Leslie since 1995 and father of Brian, born Valentine's Day 2000

Hobbies:

Camping, biking, hiking, and of course running
