Future Business Leaders of America
FBLA is the largest
student business organization in the world with 250,000 members. It
helps prepare students for careers in business and/or business related
areas, offering innovative leadership and career development programs
that bring business and education together in a positive working relationship
to achieve results.
Business centers
throughout the United States are visited by members who compete in FBLA
competitions. There are over 30 different event categories that members
can choose from, such as public speaking, job interviews, economics,
web page design, business communication, computer applications, FBLA
principles and procedures, marketing, etc.
Lifetime friendships
and connections with the business world can be made through competition
and active involvement. By traveling and competing, members get the
chance to meet thousands of other FBLA participants.
As young adults,
this organization provides students with the opportunities, experience,
skills, and confidence to take the real world head on, and achieve their
dreams. FBLA is truly dedicated to the process of helping students
become future business leaders of America.
GOALS
- Develop competent, aggressive business leadership
- Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work
- Create more interest in and understanding of American business enterprise
- Encourage members in the development of individual projects which
contribute to the improvement of home, business, and community
- Develop character, prepare for useful citizenship, and foster patriotism
- Encourage and practice efficient money management
- Encourage scholarship and promote school loyalty
- Assist students in the establishment of occupational goals
