This is the time the President will invite anyone in the audience wishing to address the Board on a matter not listed on the agenda to step to the podium, state your name and address for the record and make your presentation. NEW BUSINESS

 

16.    Appointment of Members to District Investigative Team for 2007/2008 (Robinson)

Pursuant to requirements of BP/AR 5145.7, it is recommended that Dwayne Robinson, Deana Fallen, and Gem Henderson be appointed as members of the 2007/2008 District Investigative Team with Dr. Corey Willenberg and Dr. Douglas Pryor serving as alternate members.  The team has the responsibility to investigate any sexual harassment claims by either students or employees.

17.    Approval of a Resolution to Tell Congress to Fix NCLB (Robinson)

The National School Boards Association has delivered more than 400 resolutions to Capitol Hill from school boards across the country urging Congress to reauthorize the No Child Left Behind Act – but only with improvements reflected in the bipartisan House Resolution 648.  The district’s CSBA delegate is encouraging district’s to pass a resolution to urge Representatives Wally Herger and John Doolittle to fully support HR 648 (attached) by becoming co-sponsors of the bill.

18.    Approval of an Amendment to All Discipline Plans (Robinson)

In the process of updating the board policy and administrative regulation on student dress and grooming, and pursuant to Education Code 35183, we are revising all discipline plans.  Gang attire language will now be included in all school site safety plans in accordance with Education Code 32228 (f). Recommend approval
